Sea Stone As Inspiration For Art
One of my favorite places to escape and enjoy my version of "eye candy", is some of the secluded and "unpicked over" shoreline along coastal Maine. I love to take my shoes off and walk through the lapping water, exploring the beautiful shapes and color of glossy smooth stones bathed in rippling low water and sunlight.
The waves smash against the ancient jagged rocks, then recedes.
The water around my feet is obscured with sediment, ripples,
and bubbles in the bright sunlight.
For just a few moments the clouds pass over the sun and the water clears, and I can see stones that are polished smooth and beautifully colored.
