Pollination is a struggle for survival for a plant. It's a moment when a plant or tree puts forth much of it's energy stores into producing the elements to assure the next generation of it's species. As digital cameras and computers have allowed me to enter the amazing world of plants and flowers close-up, I'm convinced more than ever, that with every budding and pollinating flower; a new universe for the most part unseen by our eyes... is evolving.

I thought this would be a good month to share some of my black and white images with you this January. Seemed appropriate after the holidays and now knee deep in the New Year and a snowy upstate winter (at least as of this week)
