Nobody Sees A Flower....

...really-it is too small-we haven't the time,
and to see takes time, like to have a friend takes time.
---Georgia O'Keefe

Thanks to all my friends out there, you're appreciated and not forgotten.

Lifes Lessons

teacher taught me to listen, practice and learn what the book said was so...
teacher taught me to paint the flowers and the trees and applauded me when they looked like so...
teacher one day gave me a paper for these lessons learned so well, and now I had the answers to accomplish anything, and that it was so...

nature taught me that much of what I had learned was wrong, and to think that maybe it was not so...
For in nature the heart and mind are freed and unshackled, and the answers are easily found. Nature is a place where the spirit knows no bounds. In nature we find all we seek, and all else in life is merely an illusion or obstacle.

Late Autumn

Into the biting wind the leaf swirled and tumbled,
It passed by me and lifted high into the dark gray autumn sky,
higher and higher until I could see it no more.
The rain began to fall, and pelt my face as I peered upwards and shivered in the cold.
The earth soon became wet with the smells of decomposing earth and leaves.
My eyes welled with water as I searched the sky, waiting for the leaf to return to it's earthly bounds.
The clouds parted briefly, exposing momentarily a ribbon of cerulean blue sky and soft sunlight,
which touched my forehead for a moment. I shivered excitedly, warmed and comforted.

Autumn Inspiration

AUTUMN CLOUDS
I sat on the hillside watching as the clouds passed by.
Their shapes and colors constantly and forever, changing.
As I stare, reminiscenses of my life appear in my mind, passing and swirling like the wispy clouds overhead.
Was it minutes, hours, months or years?

Autumn

"the maple trees glow and warm themselves in the autumn sun...reaching further down and reaching upwards to touch the sky!...as they stretch and prepare for the struggle for life that winter will bring"
