Painting (acrylic) of Nubble Light House ver 2 & Barn in Field
16 x 20 a redo of a favorite painting
I'm working on some new "Maineseascapes", some floral oils and perhaps some pastels, watch for my posts through the end of the year. The florals I'm very excited about and will be quite different from anything I've done before, and will focus on transparency, light and beauty of my most loyal and resilient garden subjects.

To the sea....Maine Coastal Images series 3
The fishermen know that the sea is dangerous and the storm is terrible, but they have never found these dangers sufficient reason for remaining ashore. - Vincent van Gogh
We feel more alive when we venture out and explore the ocean. Whether it's going for a swim or putting up a sail and heading out onto the open sea, there's something tantalizing, exciting and a little frightening when we swim in oceans too deep to see the bottom, or sail so far out we lose sight of land.

It is an interesting biological fact that all of us have in our veins the exact same percentage of salt in our blood that exists in the ocean, and therefore, we have salt in our blood, in our sweat, in our tears. We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea---whether it is to sail or to watch it---we are going back from whence we came. - John F. Kennedy
When we go to the ocean, what images will you take back with you? What images will you see in your dreams, what sounds and smells will you rememember...

GG's Senior photo shoot
Now is the time to "capture" that special moment in time for you or that special person in your life. Now booking senior photo and photo collages complete with graphics and ready to use in print or internet...I strive to capture the character and personality of my subjects always. Nothing standardized or templated.
To the sea....Maine Coastal Images series 1
The sea does not reward those who are too anxious, too greedy, or too impatient. One should lie empty, open, choiceless as a beach - waiting for a gift from the sea. - Anne Morrow Lindbergh
I love the light and the beautiful colors of the shore in Maine. Not as blatant and bold as places like Arizona or New Mexico, the colors and shapes tend to be dramatic yet not overstated. Which I've found makes capturing good images a little easier in places like Maine or my other favorite the Adirondacks.

Adirondacks Up Close...
"All of us are watchers – of television, of time clocks, of traffic on the freeway – but few are observers. Everyone is looking, not many are seeing."
~Peter M. Leschak
Take a close look at the world around us, and quite often you will find exciting worlds and ecosystems that make us better realize how really irrelevent much of what we deem as humans are important, really are. These fragile creatures and ecosystems in the marshes of the Adirondack Mountains, are the basis of life and well being on this planet, and are the reflections or gauges of the health and well-being of this planet.

Weekend of Wonder....
My profession is to always find God in nature.
- Henry David Thoreau
Nothing is more inspiring and enchanting as the loon. They are one of the oldest creatures on our planet, having survived since prehistoric times. They normally are shy and evasive, and commonly only heard or seen at a distance. So, it is truly a special gift of God and nature when they seemingly want to "check you out" and to allow me the opportunity to get this close. ~enjoy
